Anti-Impeachment & Pro-Impeachment Protests (March 2025)

☞ Co-P.I.s: Eun-Hye Cho and Chan S. Suh from the Da Move Lab.

☞ On the March 1 Independence Movement Day, protests against and for the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol took place in Seoul. 


☞ For the anti-impeachment rally, 17 graduate and undergraduate researchers mostly from the Department of Sociology at CAU have conducted an on-site survey of about 350 protest participants between 1pm and 4pm. 

☞ For the pro-impeachment rally and march, 15 graduate and undergraduate researchers mostly from the Sociology department at CAU have collected survey data in the protest site on about 450 protest participants between 5pm and 8pm.

☞ 16 graduate/undergraduate researchers in the Sociology department at CAU have conducted an on-site survey of more than 500 parade participants in Seoul, South Korea.

Online Hateful Expression Project (​2022~2024)

☞ We are in collaboration with Jeong-Woo Koo, the P.I. of the SSK project.

☞ The SSK project team has coded and analyzed about 400,000 posts containing
hateful keywords across 11 online communities betweeen 2015 and 2022 in South Korea.
